Read the Plastic Man script that was written by the Wachowski. It was interesting, this would have been a great movie for Jim Carey in the 90's.

As a working professional screenwriter, my target page count is 3 pages a day. That's just 750-900 words. If I hit that every week day, that's 15 pages a week. That's a whole script in less than 7 weeks. (I usually hit it in 5) The industry standard contract for a completed first draft is 12 weeks.

We really need more mid to lower budget comedies to be made. I see all the new small budgeted movies are almost all horror movies. Horror isn't a problem but studios need to spread the money around. We need something silly, like a new Austin Powers or Old School, to make us laugh a little.
