lies
The next question is from a 22-year-old who says the woke mind virus has infected her generation, and asks what can be said to the youth who are anti-independence. Modry says healthcare would improve, and that it's difficult to get entry-level jobs because they're taken in response to immigration.

would love to see their Albertans working at the meat packing plants and slinging coffee at Timmies.
Smith says he doesn't mind immigration as long as there are jobs for those people who are qualified. "You either contribute or you go home." The room cheers in response. "Albertans get hired first, if there's other jobs you bring people in temporarily-when their time is up, put them on a plane."

riiight.

As PM Carney said, nostalgia is not a plan.
Smith says he felt nostalgia for an older Canada during the Freedom Convoy. Smith continues that the government's job is solely to pass policy. The room cheers in response. Modry agrees with Lavigne that First-Past-the-Post doesn't work.

enhanced purchasing power??I would love to hear this explanation.
Modry discuss taxation under the federal government, and says taxes would be lower in an independent Alberta with enhanced purchasing power. He adds that polls can be "notoriously inaccurate," citing cancel culture as making people not respond truthfully.

talk about beating a...dead horse. 209 bank accounts were frozen and no one was "trampled" 🙄
Carson refers to the Freedom Convoy, saying the government talks "about democracy and then at the same breath, trample you with horses, freeze your bank account, force you under mandate to do this or that." "Do you think they'll ever try any of that again?" People respond yes.

I haven't been on Twitter in months, maybe close to a year, after watching PM Mark Carney's speech yesterday I decided to go back for a little peak. It was exactly what I thought, after leaving a bunch curse laden childish replies I deactivated my account lol. Fuck that site and the rwnj's on it.

Alberta has more cases of measles than the whole USA...is the pneumonic plague next?
This guy makes skits but they’re based on real things that are happening.
That little fact about the plague that Arizonan died of is sending me into spirals. People said it’s no biggie about that plague death, but I’m not so sure. A 100% mortality rate is bad, no?

Alberta’s grievances aren’t actually reasonable
The defenders of Canada all seem to agree that Alberta's grievances with the federal government are worth taking seriously. But what if they aren't?

This is horrifying.

Alberta has a population that is 1/68th the US.

And Alberta has half as many measles cases as the entire US does.

#abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
Alberta has 560 confirmed cases of measles.

The entire US has had 1047 confirmed cases of measles.

Alberta is at 54% of their total and catching up.
