This year I and two others managed grow a crop of a notoriously difficult to grow native plant that can and will be used in wilderness restoration.
This year has been a lot, but I did manage that so I can be at peace with this year as I move forward into the next.

Akigane had Daijin prior to Carteneau, he was a natural healer and leader who joined Akigane’s party because he was certain they were going to get killed.

Akigane isn’t going to retire. The world-ending threats might be over but he’s still travelling around and helping random people with their problems and he joins right back up with the new crop of heroes to fix things.
#wolqotd Years have passed since the events of XIV, maybe decades, and your WoL/OC is in retirement. A new threat rises, and a new generation of heroes come to them for guidance/assistance. How do they respond?

Akigane and Haurchefant skipped straight to husbands coz marriage was the only way to get Akigane into Ishgard for HW.
Kazuryu gave Akigane boyfriend status when he introduced him to Daidukul and blanked on any other possible word to describe their relationship and they agreed it was fine.

Akigane is often absent. He tried to convince Kazuryu to leave Haruka behind with another clan when they found her, he abandoned Musashi as a baby coz he thought he was stillborn, and Cyrille was mostly raised in House Fortemps by servants.

When I last played XIV I’d left my character on the moonfire cruise ship laying on one of the loungers, so it was very funny to sign back in and see watch my WoL dramatically plummet into the water and take a ton of damage.

Akigane has an unholy love for doing anything but MSQ with a particular soft spot for side quests. He accepts every single one and gets to work processing through all of them coz catastrophe can wait.
