2024 Leftist abandonment is a myth, just btw.

Dem turnout nationwide was down, but in the 4 decisive swing states NC NV WI GA it was actually up among urban whites, college educated, and all minorities. Only suburban whites (mostly men) had the same lower turnout in those states.

Voter absenteeism is a problem, but it’s a systemic problem caused primarily by systemic inequality. Especially in light of how much the GOP intensified voter suppression in states like NC, GA and NV, I generally regard any emphasis on absenteeism as victim blaming.
