It's always an option that I just show up at your small business, bash the windows in, smash your face in and take it, but my first preference is to buy it from you if we can find an agreeable price.

Why are ANY of us surprised by this SENILE approach to dealing with the Epstein files? Trump is a very sick man, totally lacking ethics and focused only on himself. We need to expect shithead behavior from him all the time. He has been this way for years.
Thomas Massie tonight says DOJ is citing laws that don’t apply to hide key parts of the Epstein files: “They’re still trying to protect billionaires, politically connected people, and trying to obscure the involvement of our own intelligence agencies.”

Today in things I have said a million times before, but are now sanctified by appearing against a salmon-colored backdrop, here is an LTE about how America's real problem is not trade but its inability to fix its most problematic nontradeable sectors.

I think the Greenland threat is a troll. I think.

But it would sure be nice for some senators and GOP house members to speak up now and make it clear that an attack on a nato ally would lead to removal from office

Gotta say, if I were a Canadian politician, I would be very careful about praising Donald Trump for illegally bombing an oil-rich country and arresting its leader on what are pretty much imaginary allegations of narco trafficking

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Trump's plan appears to be for Venezuela to remain under the day-to-day rule of a senior chavista, with its democratically elected leaders excluded and its wealth controlled by American corporations. It's a scheme worthy of a mob boss. www.economist.com/the-americas...
Donald Trump wants to run Venezuela, and dominate the western hemisphere
Snatching Nicolás Maduro and attempting to take control of Venezuela and its oil is an extraordinary display of the new “Donroe doctrine”

So this piece of crap squatting in the White House has decided to engage us in war to gain oil. This is not about drugs. This is about control. This is about him not being held accountable for his crimes. How much does it take until we act against him?

This isn’t about democracy. It’s about oil. Democracy is just the costume that regime change wears to look respectable.

Comparison to Panama 1989: in that case US courts had indicted Noriega for drug trafficking, and Panama had declared a state of war with the US and had killed a US Marine. No comparison really
Kidnapping the leader of a foreign state without any declaration of war and announcing it via social media is full-on rogue state stuff. From the world’s number one superpower.

Trump has just blown up the post-WWII rules-based order.

The US at least justified themselves in legal terms, even when acting illegally.

Every Canadian, Dane and Greenlander should be worried.
