Emergency demo already called for the White House at 1pm. Love to all not going quietly. No to war. No to empire. No to a criminal regime built on a foundation of graft, racist violence, and child rape.

One can argue Trump understands this as much as anyone—which is why he always makes sure that Infantino has a place at his feet. And yet, their open embrace of each other makes the case against Infantino that much easier.

David Goldblatt is one of the most eloquent, articulate and principled voices in football. He spoke about the issue of FIFA's inaction over Israel at @playthegame-org.bsky.social last month, and his words feel particularly relevant today as FIFA seeks to evade accountability.

This is Trumps Peace Deal due to which UEFA and FIFA suspended their democratic processes started by FAs to expel Israel from football. There hasn't been a day where Palestinians weren't killed, including a 10 yr old shot and killed by IOF on his birthday while playing football in the West Bank.
All in one night.

"Gaza's health ministry said a total of 104 people were killed, including 46 children and 20 women, and that more than 250 others were injured."

This is huge!
The UN Secretary General presented Special Rapporteur's report to the UN General Assembly. Even though it deals with state actors accountability for genocide in Gaza, FIFA (and by analogy, UEFA) was explicitly mentioned as shielding Israel from accountability from "deserved expulsion"

He told Abbas that he wanted to visit Gaza. What is Infantino going to do in Gaza? PR stunt? Selfie tour? He certainly has no business of being in Gaza. He's helping Israeli occupation and colonisation of the West Bank and probably dreaming about Trump Riviera. Sickening.

The issue was first tabled with FIFA in 2013 by the PFA, before FIFA decided not to act.

It was tabled again in 2024, and FIFA has continued to drag its feet. As per usual, FIFA delays instead exercising its leverage.

Israel is committing genocide. Why is it still welcome in global sports?
The sports world claims to stand for peace and unity yet turns a blind eye as Israel kills athletes, journalists and civilians in Gaza.

FIFA is delaying obvious decision on Israeli illegal settlement clubs for 13 years, and in the past two Congresses, for one reason only - they are hoping that Palestine will be no more. Gaza is beyond words, while West Bank paused all its leagues due to increased settler land theft and IOF violence.
