Honestly, not the best things I've ever made, but I've got that "both socks done" feeling and I like it. Adjustments were made for ankle and leg swelling.
Cosmos Sock pattern by Laura Menendez. Ribbed socks in variegated stripes of pink, spring green, navy blue, being worn by the knitter, legs crossed and resting on a black sheet with white cabbage roses. Anyone else struggling with holiday depression? I have had to euth both my dogs over the last two years, the last one 11/10 just over a month ago. I don't have family here except my adult son, and he's not into the holidays and doesn't buy gifts or help decorate. Isolated people, you're my tribe. 🦖

So I researched sock heels, and they all had the basic same shape. I realized that I need to use 75% to 100% of the foot stitches, not 50%, in creating my heel, making a "pivot point" at the bend of the ankle. So, I can do brights instead of white for #showmeyourknits white & bright week? I have no whites (except for a crochet square)! But bright, I have. I call this my "WildaBeast" cowl, though it's officially an Inspira Cowl with a lining. My winter storm protection cowl. It stands up!
The reverse lining of the cowl is on the outside, which is a single skein of Louise Harding Amitola, I think in Hummingbird. It's a rainbow of bright stripes of hot pink, hot red, fuchsia, lavender, ice blues, royal blue, and plum. The main Inspira Cowl is on the outside, incorporating a lot of stash yarns. Included are Louise Harding Amitola - Dawn, Lion Brand unforgettable in Fuchsia, Jojoland Melody superwash in 3 colorways, Patons classic wool Merino in Jade, and Fibre Company Cumbria in Eden Valley. I used the Mesa Rock configuration in the pattern (there are three options).

I have a question about sock heels. What is the best heel construction if I want the back of the leg tube and the front of the leg tube to be the same height? Meaning, lots of heel curve, I guess. I've done the heel flap recently, and I don't like how low it pulls down the back of the sock. 🧶

A crossbody bag in the style of a pigeon. It's quilt-pieced out of cotton solids (except for one piece of purple print around its neck), with gray body, teal and blue and gray head, black and white beak, and white wing with two black stripes going shortways. The eye is a yellow iris around a black pupil, all crocheted in a circle and stitched on. The bag has a gray webbing strap, by which the bag is hanging on the bar of a stashed ironing board resting up right against the wall. Another picture of the same pigeon bag, being worn by the model. Only the model's black turtleneck top is visible in the background. The same pigeon bag, but shown being unzipped. There is a beefy black zipper going from the top of the head down to the tail. The inside is lined in green and teal cotton - green on one side and teal on the other. It fits, and I guess that's a win. The full-length ribbing helped it get around my XXW forefoot, and while I'm not a fan of the heel flap/cup style, it worked OK. I added 4 areas of pattern increases. Created a ripple at the top for ease, using 3:1 YOs before 2 more rounds and a regular bindoff. 🧶
The model has her foot resting on the doorjamb of her small workroom, which is wallpapered with pages from The Hobbit. One of the drawings from the illustrated paperback version of Beorn's Hall. The sock is variegated with pinks, greens, and blues. The Cosmos Sock, with a few modifications, by Laura Menéndez. The model is wearing the sock and standing on a black rubber yoga mat to show her forefoot stretching the ribbing out. There is a tiny piece of salt water taffy on the top of the sock that fell there due to the taffy being too old and crackly. That's why it was on sale.

I'm not really a sock person, but here I am making a sock. Cosmos Sock pattern, by Laura Menéndez of Mimosa Cafe Lanar in North Spain. I'm using the Dewpoint (Taupunkt) colorway of Schoppelwolle Edition 3. #knitsky
A self-striping yarn has been knit into a sock, almost finished, lying on a black computer keyboard backlit with teal blue light. The sock is knitted toe-up and is mostly knitted with ribbing, starting just above the toe. The colors are light pink, navy blue, lime green. At the ankle, some increases have been worked in to accommodate some cankles.

A cardi for #showmeyourknits cardi theme this week. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit me anymore. Details in the alt text.
Tideline Cardigan by Hanging Rock Roost - available on Ravelry. The knitter and model is light skinned with a blonde wig, posed holding the cardigan closed at the waist and smiling, photographed from below and backlit by a white ceiling, and wearing a black t-shirt and a faded dusky purple cardigan with rolled edging and a 3" pattern down the sides of the opening. Buttons were in the pattern, but the cardi was too small by the time it was finished to button it up and they were left off. Yarns used in the cardigan were Drops Sky in lavender mix, plus Leading Men Show Stopper in more than one colorway, including Yarn Hoarder, Kaleidoscope and Longstocking.

FO took 11 weeks :) I never thought I could knit a 3x that fast. If you missed this so far, this is the Sucker Punch Sweater by Wollmuschi Designs. I added mohair to mine for the extended size and gauge. Cross stitching on the sleeves is part of the pattern, but creative placement is encouraged! 🧶

Been playing around with baking in my spare time. I talked my son into kneading this one for me. Burger butterbuns. The oven was wayyyy too hot, which was my fault and also the oven's. But they toasted up nice and the one I had made a great vehicle for my almost-vegan Beyond Beef (cheese)burger.

The Diona Tee has been pulled back out for a few more inches of sleeves … while I wait for yarn mail for continuing two other sweaters’ sleeves. Truly sleeve island with no escape.

#showmeyourknits headwear week. The least appealing photo setup, in the hatch of my SUV. Pink ones made with Fibre Company Lore held with alpaca lace. I think the pattern is called Forest for theTrees. Below those is a Kobuk in mystery yarn.
