Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

Here most folk have chainsaws

At 8am there were 5 trees across the road to Aberfeldy, I stopped to help clear one. The others we could get past. A few guys were up a tree removing a hanging branch but waved us past

By 9.30am on the way back, all the trees were cleared…got to ❤️ rural Scotland

A civilised society should always prioritise and support the folk who pay to live in these places as homes, not the ‘needs of investors’
