It’s excellent a proper patisserie
My walk there (it’s my local patch) diverts up old paths in the oak woods above Tenandry Church. So up the zig-zag path to Creag na h-Uamha and the ruined settlement then loops down. Much quieter and great views

At 8am there were 5 trees across the road to Aberfeldy, I stopped to help clear one. The others we could get past. A few guys were up a tree removing a hanging branch but waved us past
By 9.30am on the way back, all the trees were cleared…got to ❤️ rural Scotland

Was looking at the turbine blades as they sat on the ground ahead of lifting yesterday
These turbines are (like most being built onshore now) 220m tip height
The tip of each blade is dimpled like a golf ball to reduce drag & the serrated rear edge is for noise reduction
Blade length about 80m

SEPA Water Quality Monitoring data from 2023 under WFD - 87% of waterbodies are classed as good or better
England the EA has a 3-yearly sampling program (nothing like keeping on top of monitoring 🙈) the ‘latest’ data I can find is from 2019 (???) - it’s only 16% of rivers are good 0% are high

This could be happening across Scotland, no deer fencing/tree tubes all it takes is a reduction in deer numbers
Not a huge fan of big landowners, but chapeau to Wildland Cairngorms Connect showing what’s possible

How accurate do you think the Common Good Registers are
PKC has three Common Good properties in Kinross listed
Your post reminded me to look up Aberfeldy, but I’ve only lived here 20 years so I’m not 100% on what the local memory has as the Common Good
