I think you are right. We see it in even the short term where people in Florida stop preparing for hurricanes when too much time elapses since the last major hit. Memories are short and critical thinking absent.

Sometimes I get super interested in an activity, read everything I can, purchase lots of supplies, and then move on to the next one. I hope you actually make something!
