Had to go down the village for a hair appointment for Flo so decided to try breakfast at a recently opened cafe while we were out so we're sorted for the day. That'll definitely do.
Managed to not flare up too much so far so time to put feet up and rest, and catch up with Bloggo's latest vid :)

@flothulhu.bsky.social looking gorgeous, having just stepped out of the salon (SALON SELECTIVES!!!) but then she always looks gorgeous to me anyway, she now just has more ringlets than she'd ever ask for. I'm an incredibly lucky man and I'm not even joking there.

A full cooked breakfast, comprising two sausages (good quality, not just Richmond's pork mousse cylinders), two slices of good quality smoked bacon, two slices of black pudding (nice and firm, cooked just right and not too crumbly) two hash browns (I'd normally agree they don't belong but these were really good, nice and crisp, fluffy inside and not at all greasy), two free range fried eggs (cooked just right and with actual flavour), three slow roasted cherry tomatoes (not normally a fan of fried tomato being either hard or sloppy or both, these were delightfully explosions of sweetness), a decent serving of fried mushrooms (again, like the hash browns, not at all greasy or watery) and a bowl of baked beans in the centre (decent quality, don't think they were Branston but not far off)
Alongside there's a plate of brown toast (again, also good) with some lovely Welsh salted butter and a flat white coffee with an amaretto biscuit. The coffee was strong and, frankly, bloody good. I am really quite buzzing now.

Basically, it was all really good, possibly the best I've ever had; at the very least the best I've had in a long while, and I've had some good ones.

Two poached eggs on toast and a cup of tea. I am reliably informed they were cooked perfectly and tasted lovely. Teapot could've been a bit larger but then Flo could easily empty an entire tea urn.

Feet up, ready to watch Bloggo's Pow's latest YouTube video on the big TV in the living room.

Also on view, empty cardboard boxes for the cats to sit in (hey it's THEIR living room too after all), the grundig TV remote my grandparents (and Dr Who) used to have, a coaster that looks like an Amiga workbench disk from @rhayadercomputer.bsky.social, an Ewenny potteries bowl filled with Swizzles sweets, a paperback copy of the stainless steel rat and, just by the TV, the Dr Who season 13 Blu-ray collection, a boxed Spectrum Next, a Bambino Safari game, a dancing coke can and a mini bubble bobble cabinet.
