I've never understood how people just don't seem to get it, it's *never* been about protecting women in bathrooms (or sports, or wherever) it's about 'othering' people and stripping their (and then your) rights.

A series of giant dominos, labelled Trans rights, then gay rights, freedom of expression, women's rights, free love, free speech, democracy, freedom of religion, modernity, literacy. Groups of people are stood at the bases of each 'domino', propping them up. The trans one is leaning precariously and people at the other dominos further down the line are pointing it out and calling for support.
Underneath it all are the words UNITED WE STAND. DIVIDED WE FALL.

You may not be trans, you may not be gay, you might not be a woman. You may be *lucky* enough to be a straight white healthy man but eventually they'll get to your domino, whatever that may be.

(Just to clarify, I don't think £1100 is paltry, just that recently there were more people willing to chuck money at a blimmin' *Bugs* revival than that. But then they were probably young conservatives, amiright?)

A get well soon card from HdE/Doomed Colonist, described as being the tackiest and sickliest card he could find, just short of a My Little Pony one which he (correctly) suggested I probably would have preferred, hence why he went with this blandly tacky piece of dreck instead. It has flowers and butterflies and says "Get well soon. May each day find you feeling better and better" which puts me in mind if the bit in The Fly II where Daphne Zuniga is telling Eric Stoltz she's worried he's getting worse and he says he's getting better oh wait here it is https://youtu.be/ihjajpM5YpE

Think that series of picture of young Tories gave me an eye infection. Still, was able to get to the chemists in the village and got some Goldeneye-adjacent eye gunk for free "under the common ailments scheme" before pain got too bad and I had to dose myself & thus be unable to drive. So, err, yay?

I'd expect nothing less from that place now tbh. I don't know how people can bear to stay there. I get that some people keep their accounts for marketing purposes (and if I'm honest I disagree with them on that but there we go) but it must be a truly miserable existence there now.

Also, aside from the fact I doubt any of us has avoided having a picture taken when we looked embarrassingly stupid, "Hahaha! Dorky fucking cunts!" takes them emphasis away from the "fucking cunts" aspect, I feel.
(And I suspect many of them do it deliberately, it's the Johnson/Fabricant tactic)
