i love scrolling through posts and about once a day seeing an article saying like "all of earth's tipping points passed, catastrophic collapse imminent" and then just continuing to scroll

these people genuinely thought taking over the govt meant taking over culture, and that everyone should love, respect and idolize them and their chosen media

the fact that it hasn't happened is probably the biggest animating force of their cruelty

lmao this dolt is beyond parody.
yeah Lee Greenwood, totally appealing to all audiences. you nailed it buddy

a great sign that trump is no longer in control is that this guy keeps popping up on camera. any president interested in self-preservation would keep him relegated to the damp, Gollum-esque cave where he belongs

Q: You called the judge's ruling 'legal insurrection.' Are you recommending the president take action against judges who rule against him?

STEPHEN MILLER: No. It's simply a factually accurate statement

one of the first things you learn about investing is the importance of diversification. putting all your money on a single product, company or industry is extremely risky

that's just a fun lil thought i had. nothing to do with the attached article. i can't figure out how to remove it

"The hundreds of billions of dollars companies are investing in AI now account for an astonishing 40 per cent share of US GDP growth this year... In a way, then, America has become one big bet on AI."
America is now one big bet on AI
It’s seen as the magic fix for every threat to the US economy

Not wanting to air out my personal business, I haven't mentioned it, but my position @ work was eliminated a little while ago.

I have extensive experience in e-comm, customer relations, & brand design/management, and am looking for full time work. Comics-adjacent would be ideal, but I'm open. DM me

It's fun to argue about a filmography that is wall to wall bangers, and it just comes down to what you're vibing with in the moment

Zohran Mamdani calling it a genocide on The View and getting applause.
sssparkers.bsky.social
i've been saying for months (years?) that the normie boomer posts i see regularly on FB would make the most militant reddit tankie blush. there is a simmering rage about all this shit just waiting to boil over

Average normie lib wine mom: this is a brutal massacre and we most not only cease all weapons shipments but put in place a full embargo

The most radically left-wing person allowed on TV: It's actually really insensitive to say that Palestinians are being harmed
aaronnarraph.bsky.social
An insane question just now on The View calling Zohran “inflammatory” for naming Israel as an apartheid state, resulted in the audience applauding Zohran for calling the horrors in Gaza a genocide.

genuinely asking: is that first one even supposed to be cuomo?
zohrankmamdani.bsky.social
In a city of world-class artists and production crew hunting for the next gig, Andrew Cuomo made a TV ad the same way he wrote his housing policy: with AI.

Then again, maybe a fake Cuomo is better than the real one?

the dogs were all shockingly well-behaved during the movie! except for a few "boofs" they were all very good boys.

average Regal viewer should take some notes
schwindter.bsky.social
got to see GOOD BOY last night WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER DOGS *and* the star of the movie, the optimal way to see it imo
a kind of shitty low-light photo of a concert venue being used to screen a movie. the movie is GOOD BOY, and its poster is being projected onto a big screen but the title of the damn movie is cut off because the photographer (me) was trying to get THE STAR in the shot.

four people are on the stage: a woman holding the leash of a beautiful retriever mix, a tall thin man holding a microphone, a less tall balding man in his 60s (?), and another man holding a microphone next to him. they are all looking at the dog.

the dog is INDY, the star of the movie. he is in a sit, looking up expectantly at the woman, who surely is going to reward him for being in such a good sit.

between this and yesterday's promise to "invade" blue cities with military troops, it sure feels like the American experiment has well and truly ended
