4/ Ukraine’s long-range strike campaign continues to degrade Russia’s oil refining and military capabilities in Russia and occupied Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces recently advanced in the Kostyantynivka direction. Russian forces recently advanced in the Hulyaipole direction.

Because of the opaque nature of the arms trade, the paper is most likely not comprehensive though. Comments, additions and clarifications are therefore more than welcome!

Before doing so, the paper looks at how the war started and reviews its impact on people and communities, as well as some of the atrocities committed by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Last but not least, the paper provides recommendations to policy makers.

The paper identifies 7 countries that have been supplying arms to the warring parties: China, Egypt, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates.

It also examines weapons stockpiles, supply routes, and the motivation of the countries that are fuelling the war.
