UHC =/= government healthcare. It's single payer healthcare

M4A is terrible branding. Medicare under the current system is a subsidy for private insurance. Medicare For All is NOT that. It's proposed as a single payer system. So if your doctor says you need something, it would be covered. Period.

It's funny how anything for poor people gets called communism

Yet it's supposed to be a collective deciding things together.

And when rich people do it (corporations and stock holders), they are just "smart"

•Every $1 spent on SNAP results in $1.80 boost to local economies & small businesses
•The child tax credit decreased child poverty to a historic low of 5.2%, abolishing it increased it by 45%

I get so tired of seeing the 'supply and demand' argument defending a capitalist system that blatantly manipulates the supply.

Yeah. No duh housing would be cheaper if it was more readily available. But why would the people that own 20 for AirBnB want that?

"disproportionately impacts small businesses"

Too bad. Run a better business, adapt to what's actually in demand & attract customers.

You want workers? Then pay them.

Running a business is hard and expensive. Many fail, even despite paying POVERTY wages.
Also because moderate voters aren’t convinced a higher minimum wage is good since it disproportionately impacts small business owners, another example of middle class pitted against lower class for benefit of rich. Tax billionaires more, enforce tax laws and the money is there for everything.

I am pro small business in the anti-monopoly context of wanting to limit the size and influence large businesses have on local/state economies. When Trump was asked about the release of the Epstein files, he called one reporter "piggy" and said another was "being insubordinate."

When Trump saw a video calling on the military to follow the constitution, he called for the death of the Democrats who made the video.

He's a tyrant.

One significant way to fix the federal deficit? Dramatically raise the minimum wage across our country. It will cause an increase in tax collections, much less people on federal assistance, and health outcomes will improve causing less reliance on federal health programs.

Ohhh so millionaires are poor now 😂
You're missing the point....Inflation is theft & the most pernicious stealth tax on regular ppl. Inflation has nothing to do w/the free market or capitalism. It is caused from Gov excess spending. The US is in reality 3rd world poor. Who cares what a CEO makes if its in monopoly money.

I appreciate it. I don't believe it has to be an either-or. Trump ran on white "identity politics" and no one bats an eye. Kamala avoided cultural issues, and it still didn’t matter. Ignoring the unique issues that come with their diverse base (especially Black people) would be a big mistake.

Republicans want to take that freedom away.

If Republicans and Trump let average ACA premiums double, half affected will be small business owners or workers.

people in societies like ours complain about state-controlled economies where everything is owned by just a few. so we get the 'freedom' of multiplicities of startups that end up swallowed up by Big Money - & the result is everything is owned by just a few, & EVERYTHING COSTS US SOOO MUCH MORE...

Some second homeowners let their property out for just a few days in a year so they can claim to be a small business.

This means that people on the minimum wage in places like the Lake District and subsidising very wealthy people to pay no council tax at all.

This must end.
