Every time I rewatch “The Last Jedi,” it inches closer and closer to my #2 spot in “Favorite Star Wars” movies.

I dearly wish the three sequels worked better as a whole, but damn, “The Last Jedi” just WORKS.

Started an Andor rewatch, and I’m struck through the early episodes by how few alien-alien characters there are. It’s almost all humans (even from different planets), plus the odd droid here and there. Helps keep the fascism parable relatively grounded.

Qui-Gon’s catch phrase “There’s always a bigger fish” also works thematically. You might *think* you understand the bad guy’s plan but there’s actually a bigger villain of whom you might be completely unaware—and for whom you are completely unprepared.
