I think i liked that the portrait of Hannah Fry was unconventional and rooted in a scientific process. Seemed so appropriate once I saw it. Katie's work was stunning throughout but I get what the judges saw in Chloe's art now.

Same here. I never know for sure until the commissions come out but Katie and Chloe are my favourites #PAOTY

I agree. But as ever it's all about potential and once the 4 hour constraint is gone and we get to see the commissions before the final, I reckon I always see what the judges were picking up. Sad that the end is in sight already🥲

I'm too nice to say which ones disappointed me 😊. But we don't all have to like everything, which is what I love- they're always new and different and creative. And always make me wish I had their talent.

I guess it'll provide a good range of options for the semi final and final commission. Vincent's piece is beautiful but doesn't translate well on the tv perhaps. In all the series of #PAOTY and #LAOTY there's only been one final commission piece I really disliked, and one i was a bit meh about.

Another tough choice this week. 2025 is definitely one of the best competitions ever.
My shortlist is Bernie, James, Millie, Hannah, Joe...
