A lot of people are assuming the inevitability of Bruce Harrell too (which is not supported by the polls). Mamdani shows us it doesn't have to go down like that

The results tonight are a reminder that doomerism isn’t productive. Mamdani kept his eyes on the prize, ran a reasonably tight and principled campaign, and never gave into the weird idea that Cuomo was some kind of force of nature
