No, it's not. It's all a lie. The blunt truth is across the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them.

That means 'smaller cohorts and aggressive integration policies' - and tackling the institutions that 'have amplified grievance narratives and radical anti-Western ideologies'.

Reddit is a bit of a Gell-Mann amnesia machine. You look at a random subreddit and see all these knowledgeable experts discussing the finer details of things you've never even heard of. Then you look at one on a topic you're an expert on and think "ok, these people are mostly just confident idiots"

My family used to go to a holiday camp in Brixham*, where William III landed, and this is the great propaganda statue they put on the site. "The King landed here and proclaimed the liberties of England! Now, no further questions about where he was before he landed here."

The usual "It doesn't count as an invasion" explanation is pretty funny. It's basically just "No, those troops were led by William. If this was a foreign invasion, that would mean William III and his descendants aren't the legitimate monarchs of Britain!"

This is a thing I think most people really don't get. High-end scraping tools can login to all of the major social media and are scraping the fuck out of all of it. There are orgs building private equivalents of the Wayback Machine for purposes much less civic-minded.

Absolutely nothing about this site’s architecture stops AI companies from scraping and training on it right now. The company everyone is freaking out about has clear license terms that say they aren’t doing that, but anything you post here is absolutely being used by someone for training

This is going around again and it is not true. Like every site on the internet, Bluesky uses machine learning to do a first-pass approximation of image classification to detect and label content. They have repeatedly confirmed outside services do not use Bluesky user data to train their models.

Something else on Sora: what's funny is before loading it I read people at OpenAI, very concernedly, swearing up and down they were concerned about it being another brainrot app. But when you open it, it's like a sketch comedy parody of a brain rot app. 8 minute AI memes, infinite scroll, forever.

Chocolate and pistachio can be a god-tier combo, but Dubai chocolate is such a terrible balance. Full of greasy (and usually gritty) radioactive green goo, because that looks good on Tiktok. Never mind how it tastes or its mouthfeel
