Just wondering why ministries (eg Ministry of Defence) became departments? Was it to insulate the minister from poor performance or decisions by the ministry? If so it seems to have worked here given the current Optus debacle. Who makes the rules about and monitors telco performance? #auspol

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.
