Actual synopses on the backs of books please!!
Even ebooks have this where there are 5 paragraphs of "praise" and, if I'm lucky, two lines of actual description at the end.

Lovely pals: if you can afford to pre-order Pagans (written by the lovely @jamesbluecat.bsky.social of Green Wing fame, edited by me!), I would be so grateful. I can’t tell you how much difference one pre-order makes, truly. I would also be hugely appreciative of any shares of the post below!
ANNOUNCING the @waterstones.bsky.social special edition of PAGANS by @jamesbluecat.bsky.social, featuring an exclusive short story plus a beautiful foiled dust jacket and hidden cover designed by #Nibbies Designer of the Year @jackflag.bsky.social – and don’t forget those gorgeous sprayed edges!

I know a lot of office folk are at least partially Returned To Office these days, but it’s still a rare event for me.

Even if it is just to saunter in at lunchtime, wander around with a coffee, then go for drinks.

I love this despite the fact I’m drawing a line under Betwixtmas hurkle-durkling and I’m off for a run.
Word of the day is most definitely ‘hurkle-durkling’ (19th-century Scots): to linger in bed long after it’s time to get up.

So, Threads launches in a few days. Are we all going to split the communities again, and semi-migrate there?
