I just saw an ad to therapists that started “we’ve all been there, your client has been on and off dysregulated the whole session and you only have five minutes left to bla bla bla”…. The hell?? Dude if your THERAPIST doesn’t know how to help you regulate in the 1st 5 min. Get a new one!!

I thought I taught UNSHAMING ad nauseum, only to find out even my coaching group that’s been with me for a while hadn’t heard this explanation, so here:

Shame is not an emotion. Shame is a construct that arises when your abuse or victim moment was not witnessed with empathy. Internalized abuse.

I’m too lazy to retype this.

Tl:dr - some tricks for immediately calming down no matter what just sent you into a tizzy. I’m gonna send out the detailed demo videos in an email later. Send me your email if you want me to add you.

There are tools that actually WORK… in a matter of minutes! … to calm you down when you’re overstimulated, panicking, having rejection sensitive dysphoria, or otherwise feeling triggered by something!!
They’re science backed, and they’re easy to remember even when you’re IN that state!!

This is where you can find me. Probably why what I’m known for in the coaching community are my nervous system regulation techniques and gentle unshaming focus.
My values no longer start and end with “performance” and “maximizing” … it’s more like “humaning”

It’s never choose either A or B.
When you hold space for a third path to present itself, it does.

Biggest takeaway from Workshop-get clear about this:
Is your stuck point because of
A. your brains wiring
B. The shame construct built on years of criticism from society’s reaction to your brains wiring

We’re great at designing structures that work for us. If shame doesn’t derail our creativity

You guys!!!! I’m so cliche 🤣🤣🤣
I had this idea to send one last email to my list to remind them about the workshop tomorrow…
So I write it up, that if they’re like me and thot about signing up and then forgot… and then won’t remember until it’s too late here’s the memo .. well…

GUESS WHAT?!!

Stop trying to use tools that are proven to not work. At what point are you going to stop blaming yourself when you can’t cut steak with a spoon and start reevaluating the tools you’re using.

And yes, most of those tools were sold to you as “a proven system” and “bullet proof method”. I call BS.

The only way to create consistent forward movement is to know why you get stuck in the first place.
I’m going to coach you to uncover where your stuck point is, and create a specific blueprint for you that you can replicate over and over again for ongoing forward movement. Join my workshop live!

For my ADHD minions here who mentioned that they get stuck in the “before” section of the process:
Is it because of a lack of dopamine? If so, we can create a set of tricks to get that rewards system going.
But, if it isn’t that, there’s some more exploring to do. Either way, work it out with me!

Don’t miss out on this! You’re going to be so surprised how much you learn about yourself, even if it’s just from listening to others get coached!

ADHDer, Where do you get stuck in the lifecycle of a process:

1. Before you start: not having either the motivation or clarity about the first step.
2. After the first few exciting steps are behind you and it doesn’t feel novel anymore.

Change my mind:
“Self sabotage” isn’t a thing.
Here’s why: our nervous system is not calibrated to good vs bad. It’s calibrated to safe vs unsafe. Comfortable vs uncomfortable. If you’re unconsciously “self sabotaging “ it’s not to keep you from good things. It’s to keep you within your safe zone.

I’m mad about how ADHDers are fcked in our society. Lemme explain: Jon’s aren’t suited for them b/c overstimulation/timeblindness/RSD. So they do their own thing. But they need help: help looks like “this coach for X proven system”, “bookkeeper who needs everything organized before helping”

If a tool doesn’t work. It doesn’t work. ADHDer. I’m talking to you. Stop trying so hard.
They’ve told you your whole life to just try harder. Now you can stop. There’s an easier way.

I was gonna call this workshop “prioritizing with ADHD”. But the truth is, you already know how to prioritize better than you think. It’s more specific issue with ADHD that are related to dopamine, perfectionism, and rejection sensitivity. So we’ll tackle those things specifically
