When you watch these heartbreaking videos showing the cruel and thuggish behavior of ICE agents, remember that these people are not being FORCED to commit these acts — they do so willingly. They could quit their jobs at any time. They could say “enough!”

ICE agents CHOOSE to do what they do.

The idea, however, that it’s not Trump’s per se seems to be lost on the president. According to a source familiar with the matter, Trump privately refers to the likely gift from the Qatari government as “one of my new big, beautiful planes.”

It’s amazing how this 25-year-old system was working fine *right* up to the point where DOGE started fucking with it, and then it suddenly broke.

Since I administered the WH emoluments rules, let me explain why this is forbidden

Trump expressed interest in it before it was offered

He is going to use & benefit from it a while in office

And he's going to keep using it after he leaves!

Functionally, it's a gift to him & so it's illegal
Overseeing the presidential gift rules was among my duties as White House Ethics Czar -- so I know how it's supposed to work

The gift of this plane to Trump is illegal & unconstitutional

The AG & the WH Counsel oughtta be ashamed of themselves for allowing it

-50% of kids with special needs
-72 million people in total

Remember this as Republicans move to gut the program to finance tax cuts that will overwhelmingly go to the richest 1% of Americans.

Anyone who was around at the time knows that the arrangement was a disaster.

Nazi Germany surrendered in May 1945. For Americans, the Second World War would rage for three more months, until VJ Day in August. But for Russians and those influenced by them, "Victory Day" falls in May. Trump follows the Russian practice, not the American.

When a media company or law firm surrenders to Trump, they are hurting America. In most cases, they are doing it out of pure greed - both sides are highly transactional & care only about themselves. But their viewers/readers/clients should be clear-eyed about who they really are.
