New paper from ERC researchers Lorraine Gilleece and Aidan Clerkin, along with Darragh Flannery (UL) examines the impact of DEIS at post-primary level.

This is the first quasi-experimental evaluation of DEIS.

Banning phones doesn’t fix phone addiction. Students still struggle when they go home. Instead, teach them to notice when tech helps & when it drains.

Also told by this source that the State Dept has begun cancelling awards/aid programs in disaster zones that can be life and death, including food aid.

Some programs have been cancelled in Yemen, Syria, Gaza, Basra.

The source said this is contrary to states waiver policy.
