If you're an angry BBC journalist with information that can wreck the careers of people you don't like, there is now a situation where it might make sense to leak it to media outlets or activists rather than run it through the BBC editorial process

I'm looking to get a tourist flat license in Blanes. Now when ChatGPT tells me "do this, it's quite easy" my first thought is that I now have to go and check that out myself because maybe it's wrong. So really, what is the point?

I think, when it makes serious errors, it loses authority, but that is what it is sold on! Like me running a burger place where 9 burgers are the best you've ever eaten, but every 10th burger is full of shit.

..Columbus, I'm sure, would have loved to go to the moon, but he only had a caravelle, so the best he could do was America. Likewise, AI is a caravelle, not a spaceship, and it's not going to take us where people think.

.. flaws. Like an aeroplane that will ALWAYS crash between 100-200 miles of flying. Sure, if you are very careful, you could use that invention, but mass adoption wouldn't work. My view is that AI is stuck and we won't see any further progress in our lifetimes, as it always produces errors...
