That second pic, at a glance, made me think you were some sort of book spine cracking monster, but I realise you have, in fact, wisely obtained two copies of this mighty tome.
Looking forward to mine arriving.

Are you getting spooky with @dannyrobins.bsky.social and the #UncannyCommunity this October?
What better way than with a GLOW IN THE DARK #Uncanny keyring!
.
I'll be tuning in all month for the daily new Uncanny mini-podcasts!
.
"I glow what I saw..."😉

Stunning glass Fey Glamour Dice from @ginnydi.com & Norse Foundry Dice!
I love how beautifully they catch the light, different every time you look. Lovely items, I'm so glad I was able to get a set of these.
Glass d20 die refracting light in different colours, stood on its box with the Ginny Di and Norse Foundry logos.

Possibly the best Cyber-portraits I've ever seen - and a heap of Dalek treats on the site too.
I couldn't resist grabbing a huge pile of these and other #DoctorWho fans will definitely want to do the same.

I did! A little while ago now.
I saw the book in @hauntedmagazine.bsky.social (so advertising with them clearly worked) and grabbed myself a copy.
Excellent work by all involved.

I offer a hearty endorsement of this book. Great value even at full price, so grab that discount while you can!
Graphic novel "Hocus Pocus: Magic, Mystery & The Mind" sat amidst spooky props and Haunted Magazine.

A big hat-tip to the Arthur C Clarke/John Fairley & Simon Welfare "Mysterious World" trilogy (based on their TV series) but the winner is the "Usborne Guide to the Supernatural World." Influential to this day.
I've still got it, and it often finds its way to the surface among other spooky items.
Haunted Magazine issue 28 with The Usborne Guide to the Supernatural World. Danny Robins "Do You Believe in Ghosts" with The Usborne Guide to the Supernatural World and Ellen Walker's illustrations. A pair of York Ghosts with The Usborne Guide to the Supernatural World.

Danny Robins has upstaged me here. I'm somewhere behind his shoulder.
Fair enough though, it's his show - and what a show!
Had a great time last night, today's audiences are in for a spooky treat!

Haunting #9 of the Uncanny pod live tour - the lovely, atmospheric
Theatre Royal Brighton.

Can you spot yourself in the crowd? 👻

We have 2 more shows in #Brighton today! Who’s coming? 👻

Star Wars and Alien did this with their films. It was not universally well received... 😛
stephencandy.co.uk
But, outside of initial viewing figures, it did get many more magazine covers and media coverage, plus wider exposure such as merchandise, models, toy lines etc. (Not to mention an entire franchise that span off for years.)
If it hadn't got to the third/fourth season that wouldn't have happened.
stephencandy.co.uk
Several hit TV shows didn't really hit their stride until second or even third seasons. (Next Generation Star Trek & Red Dwarf spring to mind. Not to say there wasn't good stuff in early seasons but didn't become cultural phenomena until later.)
Now everything gets cancelled if not an instant hit.

Here's a splendid spooky book that your children will want to read - and so will you!
Grab a copy of @dannyrobins.bsky.social & Ellen Walker's "Do You Believe in Ghosts?" for a brilliant introduction to the supernatural.
It's the book I'd have read as a child alongside the Usborne Guide!

A great event at @gobsmack-comics.bsky.social in Horsham today, celebrating their tenth anniversary with lots of great characters - and also enjoying the last pre-Christmas weekend at their Square Eye Retro Arcade.

An in-joke with friends is that I "don't collect dice."
My dice bag is almost entirely gifts or acquired in the line of duty for promo work. However I had to make an exception as these are JUST TOO PRETTY!
(Sold out fast too. Glad I went with my instincts and ordered the second I got the email.)

Beautiful work from @slipperyjack.bsky.social "professionally defacing" copies of the books he's illustrated/edited.
Delighted to have these in my collection!
(Tales Accursed available now directly from his website.)

The more I look at the details about this book, the more I want to read it.
You will want to read it too, so why not order yourself one? You won't regret it.

A large number of postcards from this exhibition have just fallen into my online shopping basket.
If you can't get to the actual exhibition (which I can't) then don't miss the chance to check it out online (which I am grateful that I could do.)

These are deservedly flying off the shelves. Or @slipperyjack.bsky.social's garage. Whatever. Either way you should definitely buy this book and you won't regret adding a defacement for extra unique art joy.
slipperyjack.bsky.social
Cor, all sold out of the standard defacements. I'll set to work on a second batch, ready to go live on Friday 26th Sept ✨👍...
slipperyjack.bsky.social
Punch defacement completed. Just getting a few more copies ready before the first sales push tomorrow...

Every year I have to listen to supermarket staff explain that it's "too early" for Halloween cakes etc. while standing in front of a huge display of Christmas food.
