Born on Long Island, have lived most of my life in Toronto. Father of 3, grandfather of 2. Thinking about what else to share that helps you think about me...
This is perhaps sufficient justification for the @nytimes.com to lose its standing as a serious news outlet. 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

A good exploration of one of modern society's fundamental problems.

Apologies as I know NYT is not free to all.

Thanks for posting here Chris.

How do you think his peers and people that report to him will respond ?

And if I’m asking this wrong, please correct me, but if he makes a ridiculous decision to bring charges, which court is it appealed to if he wins the case ?

All insights welcome
This is insane. If you wonder why some of us think the rule of law is about to fall, it's this.

The U.S. Attorney for DC is not "President Trump's lawyer" and its job is not to "protect his leadership" nor prosecute people who "refuse to put America first".

In a sane world this would be above-the-fold headline news.

@crookedmedia.bsky.social

Folks - Why isn't this the story? In 2020 Biden got 81.3m votes and Trump got 74.2m. In 2024 Harris (who I voted for) got 74.4m votes and Trump got 76.9 (as of 11/27)

Trump got +2.5m votes and the Dems got -7.1m votes. End of analysis no???
Maybe, but the real echo chamber has been the focus on Trump voters when the margin in this election was Biden voters who didn’t turn out. She got between 6-7 million fewer votes and half a million of that in the 7 swing states was enough to lose the EC.
two things are true about Trump voters:

1. they are catching nowhere near enough flak for their decision to inflict a second term on the rest of us

2. we are going to need a lot of them to realize they made a terrible mistake if we’re going to get out of this
