DHS and therefore ICE came out of the Bush admin in response to “terrorism”. What laws are ICE enforcing except nabbing people who usually occupy legal limbo? They were trying to grab people who were attending court because they have an active case. People are dumb.

A lot of people’s problems with injustice and cruelty is that they don’t like being aware of it and would do anything to go back to pretending that nothing is wrong

I remember someone said that it’s funny that the liberal solution to cop violence always tends to be giving them more funding. If things are going well, it’s more reason to fund them more. And if they’re going badly, then they need more funding for trying and hiring even more cops.

I mean, look at how quickly people are setting up national protests. Abolish ICE is becoming the normie position. My town hosts a weekly protest, and I expect it to be much bigger than usual today. But the divide between elected officials and all these people could not be more stark.

I don't think it's good that the liberal political response in Minnesota to ICE abuses is threatening to deploy the national guard if people get mad about it and sending cops after protestors so ICE can get a good night's sleep after a hard day of murdering women and tear gassing children

the inerrant centrist wisdom of making half of your platform "actually the far-right is 95% correct about the state of society" and then wondering why a few million gormless swing voters flock to them instead of you
