Sunset at Stokkness

Two life size polished metallic figures sit side by side but back to back on a metallic bench in Canary Wharf London. They reminded me of two old friends comfortable in their relationship and happy to sit and put the world to rights.

Although it's colors are vibrant & appear almost mosaic, they live in shadowy forests & among branches but forage food (insects) from the ground.

A macrophoto of a Spotted Wood Kingfisher Bird standing on a green branch. It's a small bird with dymanic colors & patterns that appear mosaic. The colors of blue, orange & teal spots are symetrical. The feathers around the eyes are purple. They live in forests and eat mostly insects from the ground.

Soct focused Yellow Chrysanthemums only some of the petals of the central flower are in focus the rest are soft focused and become less distinct towards the edges, corners and top of the image. I used the Lensbaby Sweet 35 to capture this image.

They do - a few years ago I found a good dozen or so hiding out in a drilled post hole ina gate post. I assume they were in a state similar to hibernation & waiting out the cold weather and waiting spring.
