With SNAP benefits lapsing, it's even more important that those who can, contribute to food banks.

I decided to donate to Harvesters. They have only a 3% overhead and claim an efficiency of 2 meals per dollar donated.

Go California! That's an awesome accomplishment.
Two-thirds of California's power comes from clean energy.

For 9 in 10 days so far this year, we were 100% powered for some part of the day by clean energy.

The Golden State has become the world's fourth-largest economy because of our climate leadership, not in spite of it.

Wow, even Fox News said it! EVs are the cleaner future.

EVs beat gas after two years, study finds
Electric vehicles overtake gas cars in total CO2 savings after just two years of driving, with emissions benefits growing over time as power grids get cleaner.

I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

The rich voted for Musk's $1trillion pay package. That's a million times a million. He'll be worth more than 178 out of 197 countries.

To say I'm mad is an understatement. No one needs that kind of money and power. #EatTheRich

Beshear: Let me be clear. The president has both the funding and the authority to fund snap during a shutdown. In fact, every other president in every other shutdown has done so. People going hungry in this instance is a choice that this president has made.

What happened here in California tonight is a victory for the people of this country.

Donald Trump’s attempts to rig the midterm elections are backfiring.

His attempts to silence you are backfiring.

His entire presidency is backfiring.

Exactly! I suggest donating money to food banks way more than giving food to them.
Reminder:

Food banks need money more than food!

They have access to buying things cheaper than you do, and they know what the community needs better than we do!

Cool that renewables have become the cheapest source of energy in the world just as a bunch of reactionary-centrist US pundits have taken up the right-wing "climate vs. cheap energy" framing.

Adelita Grijalva now holds the record for longest delay between winng a special Congressional election and being sworn into office.

Why the delay from Mike Johnson?

Perhaps it's because Grijalva would cast the final vote needed to release the Epstein files.

A 35MW system will use energy from the Charles River and deliver steam to heat more than 70 million square feet of buildings across Boston and Cambridge — hospitals, schools, homes, and businesses alike.

As you see GM and Ford continue to surrender on EVs, remember, it's because they don't want to build them in the U.S. like their competitors have no issues doing, and especially don't want to use lots of great U.S. and Canadian parts suppliers.

Trump's USDA says it can’t disburse SNAP benefits on November 1 because of the shutdown.

SNAP is an entitlement program. They could *easily* find the $8 billion.

Meanwhile, they’re sending $40 BILLION to bail out Argentina, screwing American farmers in the process.

It’s bullshit—and they know it.
