So sorry for your loss ❤️

That's a wonderful eulogy, too. I really appreciate you sharing it like this. I still have the one I wrote for my mom but I've not been able to look at it again since that day.

Ohhh this is a great example indeed, thanks for sharing!

I would love to hear more about this, do you act on that urge? If so, do you say it all the time or in specific situations?

I agree with giving a choice, but what do you do if they say no? Find someone else? Do it yourself?

I regret that I had no idea this happened!

After years of buying the previous Affinity apps I'm a bit nervous about how an acquisition by Canva - and a complete rebuild into one app - changes the experience.

Any first impressions? Had you used the prior versions of Affinity apps before?

Wow, TIL...

Maybe I do need a Switch 2 after all

Very cool, I've not gone for the Switch 2 yet but am considering it. Is the remaster worthwhile?

Woohoo! 🎉

I'm still on my first play through and not quite at 100% on anything, close on the outfits though. It's been fun tackling one bit at a time. At this point I think it's the game I've spent the most time on ever.

Shooting for 100% completion? Or did you start over?

I used to reference GoodUI.org all the time, at some point it became paywalled so only a smaller subsection is available without a subscription, but should still prove useful.

(I don't begrudge the membership model, gotta keep the lights on to fund A/B testing, just miss it as a shareable resource)

I never heard of this game before, watching you play made me want to give it a go. It's deceptively easy to learn, equally hard to get the hang of it!

One of my favorites, like starting over in the middle of the day

I had similar troubles, always thought "oh I can make it" and never did.

What helped me to finally use "Deliver Later" is (I believe) you get slotted back into the middle of the queue line, rather than borrowing and then starting over at the end of the line.

His MTIV book is one of a small handful that I look back on as transformative to how I perceive and practice my craft. I still have it on the shelf after all these years.

I was thinking the same about "heck", what the heck is that all about?

I'm having similar considerations, so far I think I'm going to look into Mailgun but haven't made the switch yet to know how well it'll work. I only need it for a handful of transactional emails a day too.

You should be able to modify via CSS: Settings > Appearance > Custom CSS

I think it's something like `.sidebar .nav-folder`? It's been a bit but that should get you on the right track!

The .com crash was my first personal experience of how quickly things can change, it was a lesson that stuck with me ever since. I attribute my healthy skepticism and slower-than-most tech adoption to how I've survived the ensuing hype machine cycles.
