Dictators and oligarchs, especially those who believe they have the best of intentions, have always wrapped themselves in some form of "ism" or another. If there isn't an adequate "ism" available, they'll invent one. That's an inescapable part of who we are as a species - our darkside, our yang.

Of those three, Martial Law seems most likely in the near future, and it could be used as a pretext to postpone or even cancel the 2026 mid-terms, thus ending Democracy.

Civil War, real armed conflict between civilians and the govt seems unlikely unless govt troops begin firing on civilians.

This Chart is INSANE…AI is a silent killer

Since ChatGPT launched in Dec 2022, U.S. job openings fell over 40% in 2022 from over 12 million openings to now only 7.23 million.

Meanwhile, the stock market keeps climbing higher than ever.

It’s a strange picture: Stock Market is at record highs, while workers get laid off.

AI is essentially boosting company profits, but at what cost to human opportunity?

the city of los angeles burned in january in part because of a man who couldn’t stop generating images of burning cities on ChatGPT, and then after he lit the fire he asked if the fire he started was his fault

AFAIK, Jennings doesn't have any KR experience, though the new guy, Corbin, does. Could be a factor.

TX just invaded another state. They have no authority to do that. It is expressly forbidden by the Constitution yet I have not heard anybody outside of Gavin and Pritzker even mention it. They should be yelling it from every mic.

Perhaps worth a timely mention: in the 1980s, Adam Schiff successfully prosecuted an FBI agent who was a deep cover Soviet spy.

No problem. If there's an actual terror attack by a foreign adversary, Miller, Patel and Bondi will just blame it on "antifa".

The reason the Right are so invested in the myth that the arts have no value isn’t because the arts don’t generate wealth (they do); it’s that studying the arts teaches people to imagine better ways of judging the value of an idea than by counting how much money it makes…

This country would be a lot better off if we didn’t have chain stores and fast food and instead had mom and pop businesses that kept money in a community and gave every town and city its own unique flare. But every city looks like the next and all the money goes to Wall Street banks.

Last night, my team filed a motion to defend voters in California.

DOJ sued 8 states. My firm has filed to protect voters in all 8 states.

We will never back down from the fight to protect free and fair elections.

DOJ has sued 8 states for refusing to turn over their full, unreacted voter files.

My team has now filed motions to defend voters in 7 of those cases in ME, MI, MN, NH, NY, OR and PA.

I suggest that DOJ monitor the docket in the remaining one in CA.

🚨I am saying this to everyone for FUTURE reference (if we get there). Please PLEDGE✋ to make healthcare a crucial issue ALWAYS. In 9 yrs as a Patient & Patient Advocate, it's always been: NO ONE CARES about healthcare UNTIL it's hanging by a thread. This MUST change if YOU want UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE!
