I know complaining about health systems is beating a dead horse at this point but holy cow. Last year I was scheduled for an appointment with a specialist for this coming October. Today they rescheduled me for December 2026.
That’s 27 months b/t “you should get checked out” to actually seeing a Dr

I can't tell you how many survey projects I've stopped before they've started due to this calculation: carljpearson.com/the-survey-v...

It's not my goal to end survey projects, but being a survey specialist I probably have the opportunity more than the average researcher.

I wrote an article about how to calculate ROI for UX research. I admit, it’s kind of an “eating your vegetables” topic. But I broke it down and away that I hope is easy to follow with three in depth examples.

Something small I notice missing from a lot user research reports: A date.

Are the findings I’m looking at from last month? Last year? Who knows.

A repo that’s missing context about when things were done makes finding relevant info difficult

I've used the 3-sentence email rule off and on for about 10 years. Kind of like Haiku, the constraints are actually quite enjoyable. You would be surprised how concise and detail-rich you can be after a bit of practice.
