I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
My dad was a big time tree hugger so I finally went and got a tree for the front yard at home to honor him after he passed last year. I would have done it then but it turned off too hot and dry afterward which isn't ideal for planting. The smaller one is for my dog Koti who passed just last week.

For those who knew me from Facebook. Yes I was totally purged from the site for speaking out against the current administration. 18 years of activity on there all wiped out overnight. All appeals denied. Facebook/Meta has gone full Fascist with out of control censorship. #FacebookSucks #censorship
