@JustonStrmRider and I were mesmerized by this incredible supercell structure as the Enderlin, North Dakota EF5 tornado was occurring! This was the first official NWS-assigned EF5 tornado rating since the infamous Moore, Oklahoma Tornado on May 20, 2013. #ndwx

OTD 3 years ago, September 30, 2025, @JustonStrmRider and I documented the landfall of CAT 1 Hurricane Ian over Garden City Beach, South Carolina. Destructive storm surge flooded the island and stranded us for several hours. #scwx

Measured 947.3 mb min pressure in eye.

A hurricane made landfall in Mississippi. The storm was estimated to have been a Category 2. Damage was widespread on the Gulf Coast, with at least 130 people losing their lives and more than $19 million (1906 USD) being produced.

September 25th, 2015:

In the early morning, a significant tornado struck Johns Island, South Carolina. 51 structures were impacted, including 33 that were severely damaged or destroyed. Thousands of trees were snapped or uprooted. No casualties were reported.

OTD 8 years ago, September 20, 2017, @JustonStrmRider and I documented the landfall of high-end CAT 4 Hurricane Maria over Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Measured our lowest 'eye' pressure of 926.6 mb. Over 3,000 fatalities are attributed to this storm.

A Category 4 hurricane made landfall south of downtown Miami. The storm devastated southern Florida, with thousands of structures either damaged by surge or shredded by winds over 120-130 mph. At least 350 people (estimates vary) lost their lives.

Hurricane Floyd made landfall in North Carolina as a Category 2. The storm, which was one of the largest Atlantic hurricanes on record, brought devastating impacts (mainly flooding) to much of the Eastern Seaboard. Floyd caused 85 fatalities.
