Constructive Uncertainty

The world is complex, and we must find a balance between taking action and accepting uncertainty. Our natural impulse toward quick decisions misses out on a powerful tool: negative planning.

WE'RE GOING TO TAKE THOSE PEOPLE I PARDONED, ACCUSE THEM OF BEING ANTIFA, AND PUTTHEM BACK IN JAIL
atrupar.com
Q: There's compelling proof that antifa did infiltrate on January 6 dressed up like Trump supporters and incited violence. Is that something you'd like the new J6 committee to look at?

TRUMP: Well I've heard that. Yeah. We will be acting on some of that.

I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections

Hope - not as something you have, but something you practice into being.

It is what the philosopher Jonathan Lear has called “radical hope” - “directed towards a future goodness that transcends the current ability to understand what it is.”

Good morning.

The government is shut down because Trump wants to act like a king and steal from you.

Democrats have no obligation to support a budget that funds the destruction of our democracy - and DOUBLES health premiums to fund a tax cut for billionaires.

Another brutal jobs report. The economy lost 32,000 jobs in September, and August was revised from +54,000 all the way down to -3,000. That’s not just a slowdown—it’s a collapse. The economy is clearly in trouble under Trump, and Republicans are still in total denial.
