Lies and Fairytales! Maybe 30 years ago when there were only two other games (in the west anyway) to compare to, but you do the Floating Continent at around level 25 with a very clearly unfinished spell list even if you’re being completionist.
r/FinalFantasy post: Friend thinks he's at the end of FFVI... Says he's doing stuff preparing for the Floating continent. And that he won't play the game until he gets stuck waiting somewhere for several hours, so he can just "finish it up" in one go. I think the transition to World of Ruin is the most memorable moment in the entire FF series... and I want him to experience it so bad, but how can I do it without spoiling him that, no, you're not nearly done yet?
