'FOOD FIGHT' shows how our food system has warped into something that's making us (and our planet) sick.
But its main focus is on how to turn things around.
Out in April 2025 but open for pre-order here:

I think it's brilliant. Anyone who's shocked needs to ask why all this is completely legal. This is not about demonising a product, it's about highlighting a massive failing in governments who choose to look the other way while large transnationals continue to put profit ahead of people and planet.

Thanks for the review! To respond on a couple of comments and not wanting to quibble...yes, smallholders are key but this book was about tackling corporate capture and power imbalances. 'Anti-business' is over-simplistic...it's as much anti-politicians who fail to rein in corporate power. But 🙏 !

Powerful piece of journalism by the brilliant Jeremy Bowen...for the first time (that I've seen) a clear, detailed analysis of how food is purposively used as bait to target desperate, starving (and extraordinarily brave) young adults in Gaza

Killed seeking food - Jeremy Bowen on Abdullah's shooting and Gaza's lethal aid system

The David Bowie Centre at the V&A East Storehouse is amazing. It’s a must-see for fans of David Bowie.

I’m immensely proud of East Bank, and City Hall will continue to support this new world-class cultural quarter.
A look inside David Bowie's incredible personal archive, from platform heels to photographs
Just as Bowie’s influence spun onwards and outwards, so does this revelatory new centre at the V&A East Storehouse

@kamranabbasi.bsky.social & I problematise current “warfare vs welfare” debates, arguing for more scrutiny of the arms industry & renewed support for global peace dividend.

The Scottish Parliament Festival of Politics 2025 session 'Junk vs Jabs: our relationship with food' from last week with Alexandra Johnstone and Gary Maclean...a very lively session, expertly moderately by Emma Harper, with some great questions and discussion
