Petition for the next president to impound/eminent domain any illegally obtained funds and just give them to Rick Steves/Michael Sheen to do with as they see fit.

Me, playing 868-Hack after having the app so long I have no clue about the tutorial. Flailing.

Me after downloading on my iPad and getting a tutorial refresher… Ahhh that makes so much sense

WSJ reinventing “fashion sense” as a unique problem for Gen Z absolutely cracks me up.

There was another post on Bluesky (unrelated) that talked about how bleak it’s become in the world of human relationships and how much we yearn from. And it’s hard not to see these as connected.

In some sense art is about that friction. Unlike with human relationships art promises us if we invest…
Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead.

I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

It certainly doesn’t feel incorrect to play Inscryption for the first time on such a dark weekend…

Ah yes my favorite part about reading. Skipping to the end.
Amazon rolls out Ask This Book to the Kindle iOS app, letting readers ask questions about plot or characters; authors can't opt out (Will McCurdy/PCMag)

Listening to Alton Brown’s memoir, Food for Thought, reminds me how much I equate game design with cooking and baking. Playing games are like the act of cooking and books and movies. I love eating as much as I love cooking but the alchemy for each is different.

Easiest board game purchase I’ve made all year.
Herd is now finally out.

Available as a physical game and as print files. Physical version is also part of the Letibus Bundle for 10% off. There are 100 free community copies of print files on Itch.io.

This is also my pitch.
If you're trying to ditch NYT Games, which you should be since their games singlehandedly prop up the entire dogshit rag financially, you should switch to Puzzmo. An annual sub is 50% off today for a crazy $19 and as a bonus doesn't enable the genocides of Palestinians and trans people
Puzzmo — The (new) place for thoughtful puzzles.
Re-imagined mainstays like the daily Crossword Puzzle, modern classics like Really Bad Chess and SpellTower, and even a few brand new puzzles.

Today's #Wildfrost Daily run was a wild one. First time I've had two competing builds (sacrifice or the blue flame) that both felt equally relevant and possible at various points. I chose the flame (and died by the flame).

The best part of #WildFrost is that every single turn of the game feels like a Magic the Puzzling puzzle you have to work out.

The worst part of it is that every single turn of the game feels like a grindy puzzle.

Anyway I love the WildFrost dailies. Super fun.

Today's indie game: Dogpile (store.steampowered.com/app/3839300/...). Look I don't know what to tell you, if "core gameplay of Suika Game but with Roguelite-deckbuilder elements and where the things you're dropping onto the playfield are dogs" sounds good to you, then do I have a game for you. Woof.
Dogpile on Steam
Dogpile is a roguelike deck builder about merging cute dogs into bigger dogs. Play dogs, get money, customize your dogs with special Traits, refine your deck, PLAY MORE DOGS! DOGS!

Starting my #Yugioh rewatch. On episode 2. You're telling me Pegasus uses a VHS to start a live game in the shadow realm? Yeah this still rips.

Can’t stop thinking about @rianjohnson.bsky.social’s new Knives Out… (Wake Up Dead Man) we got to see it last night at the Denver Film Festival.

I miss reading #magicthegathering tournament reports. It feels like one of those artifacts from the old internet that's never coming back but boy oh boy were they a fun genre.

With all the uh... turmoil happening in Magic: The Gathering. It's heartwarming to see #OnceUponAGalaxy hit it out of the park with its first big set release. Brings me back to the days of ripping packs on prerelease night to figure out how the cards fit together:
