#Booksky Finished reading The haar by David Sodergren. Holy shit the emotional gut punch this book gave me. A horror novel hasn't hit me this hard in years. This book is as beautiful as it is gory. A lot of people compare it to The thing and I see the elements but it's so much more.

Soft body armor of some kind for impact munitions. Doesn't have to be ballistic.
Helmet. Can be ballistic. Can be bump. Even a bicycle helmet can save your life from a grenade.
