Gamer, model railroader, husband, cat dad, leftist. That just about covers it.
The 2025 Peel it Back show in LA was one of the best shows I've ever seen him do. Your guy is going to love it.

Oof. That's gonna tie up traffic for a bit.

That's a lot of fire.

My dad, a Wisconsinite Soo Line fan, tried hard when I was a kid to make me a BN fan. My first two locos were a BN Uboat and a CB&Q switcher. All for naught; I was too entranced by the B&M bluebirds plying the Conn River line and the East Deerfield yard.
Still keep a match burning for BN, thought.

Nice! Wish I had that much room.

Whoever's designing this shit should be sent back, no, not back, just sent to architecture school. It's pretty apparent they don't know anything about design.

It was such a breath of fresh air after the relentless doom and gloom of the run that preceded it. I still wish you could have carried on for years.
Jurgens too. Been a fan of his since his earliest DC work.

Heh. Makes me think of Sutro Tower in San Francisco. No relation to the tower's namesake.

For me, it starts about a year before the Great Darkness and lasts until the end of the Dominator storyline in 5YL. Include the bit just before the reboot, where the founders are the last ones to disappear into eternity or whatever.
That's my Legion. Levitz and Giffen.

On our club layout, we have two signal bridges set a scale quarter mile apart. Nearby is a framed chart for how fast you're going based on how long it takes to go from one to the other.

Oh, I miss Tom Snyder.

No "perhaps" about it.

I'm really hoping that this ends with a "have you no decency" moment that utterly destroys Hegseth the same way Welch destroyed McCarthy.

"You said you liked it!"
"I was being NICE!"

Stop trying to analyze his "strategy." There is none. Stop framing him as a "conservative." He's not (and neither are the majority of Republicans). He's not even really a fascist (though many of his hangers on are). Fascism requires a coherent political project, which he's ultimately incapable of.

Oh Bugs, you and me, bro. I feel ya.
December 16, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Ooh. Parisian coffee was the best.

Some of his hangers on may have strategically oriented minds (Miller, particularly, evil as his strategy is), but strategy is a totally foreign concept to Trump and I wish that the media would just say so.
December 16, 2025 at 4:42 PM
It drives me nuts when journalists try to "understand his strategy." He has no strategy. He's cruel, petty, narcissistic, and deeply incurious. That he acts entirely on the impulse of the moment should be obvious to any observer, much less journalists.

Again, a polite request that you add Alt text to your images. Beyond helping me know which movies you're depicting here, it helps your vision impaired fans.
