I want to be optimistic. But, one party has adopted an openly racist agenda while supporting efforts to steal resources to make others richer, while the other thinks that it can wait until the mid-term elections to capture peoples' hearts and minds. Tough to watch.

I sincerely pray for the well-being of members of the Somali community in Minnesota who will be hunted and harassed. I pray for justice for all immigrants, especially those from newly banned countries. I hope that I and everyone can work towards a more moral and perfect union.
