As a child of the last half century, I never understand why the hero of Its A Wonderful Life doesn’t take matters into his own hands and goes out in a hail of bullets. Instead he comes to realize the small things mattered, and that anyone is capable of being a hero: just do good. Saves $ on CGI too.

Seriously doubting anyone is pulling off that 20 day book challenge. Nothing wrong with it, but I’ve read a few hundred books in my life and I’d be hard pressed to pick 5 that have influenced me. So much of life is influential it’s the rare book/movie/song that makes me think “well that’s a thought”
