Hi, I'm Sunder. I'm a 30+ dad and husband (he/him). I enjoy writing, art, gaming (video and TTRPG), science, tech, worldbuilding, and more. I have a bearded dragon and two cats. This is my pinned and you'll find various information below this post such as writing threads.
the only usecase for windows now is to put my Astro A20 dongle into PC mode and then boot back into CachyOS

I hate that I "have money" but only for specific things. I can buy a new vacuum but I can't afford to replace the shocks in my car. lmao

"RemoveWindowsAI" is a script created by zoicware, available on GitHub, that does exactly what it says: it remove every AI feature in Windows 11. Do what you wish to do with this information. I'm sharing this because some folks are forced to use Win11 at work or other places for any reasons.

The thing that's never sat with me re:criticism about Expedition 33 being "baby's first JRPG" is that the people who actually made the game couldn't be more consistently reverent about their influences.
Accepting the 'Game of the Year' award for Clair Obscur Expedition 33, director Guillaume Broche thanks Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi who "made me fall in love with games and inspired me to become a game dev."

Here’s another tip: how about we all just ditch Instagram???

It’s crazy how much creatives insist on staying there while simultaneously going oh no one sees my posts, I’m not growing, etc.

Girl stop, it’s not you, it’s the app.

used "ignore" on a game on Steam for the first time ever because no matter how fun Where Winds Meet is, it's absolutely riddled with gen-AI and I'm not touching it.

I haven't played Arc Raiders for a while for the same reason. When I found out they used AI and/or made voice actors train voices

When I installed CachyOS over Linux Mint I forgot that I had to setup grub to detect my Windows dualboot (although the reasons for having that dualboot are shrinking by the moment), then I figured out how to make CachyOS grub detect the Windows install.

I just saw that Ireland made its basic income for artists permanent and I have never been so jealous.

What must it be like to live in a country that actually values the arts?

I'm happy for all Irish artists and hope maybe this kind of thing will expand elsewhere.

Here’s why you shouldn’t pull your punches as a writer:

A big part of the appeal of a book is how dedicated the author is to their idea.

That crackling energy only comes from compulsion, the true driver of creativity.

Restrain it at your own peril.
