Honestly, I had forgotten. We’ve been paying for the erosion of rights since immediately following Sept 11 election on. This is exactly what people warned about then.
People seem to be forgetting some abysmal precedents from War on Terror.
Yes, they did detain Green Card holders.
Yes, they did get an insane SCOTUS ruling (under Obama, not Bush) that material support for terrorism can include speech (Holder v. HLP).
