Was supposed to go to a big managers meeting this morning but couldn’t make it due to a staff call off. Now you all are going to have to say nice things about the skirt I wore today, which I finished sewing last night. 🥺

Making a skirt. Had to seam rip and baste stitch over again to get the pattern to match. It looks great now!!

Med-high heat, flip when you start seeing beads of water on the faces of 2-3 slices (3-6 minutes depending on your stove & recklessness). 2-3 more minutes, then add butter/oil (&garlic/herbs if u want), 1-2 mins. Finish w salt.

I lost my AirPods inside my house this morning and also found out that a lovely former coworker has passed away, so I left work early and went to the mall with my mom. There, I bought new AirPods and look how many little different sized guys I can choose from!
New AirPods Pro 3 and four choices of silicon guys to fit any ear size.

If you’re looking for something to download before the ao3 outage, here’s some snips of my latest Justified fanfiction. It’s a tense little investigation that includes hill magic and head injuries and Romance!
Raylan smiles down at Boyd and decides in the moment to jump, feet first. He says, "Come to think, you talkin' about people marrying themselves. Aunt Helen tol' me once about this thing Mama made Arlo do at their wedding. Wasn't part of the ceremony, just something from her family. Helen said it's tradition up the mountain and it meant they was married in both places-up there and down here." Boyd looks up at Raylan with wide, dark eyes. He hadn't thought to really do anything. He'd just wanted to talk about it. "What was it?" He asks. Raylan's smile grows, so pretty and sweet. "You want me to show you?" "Yeah," Boyd breathes, heart going a-patter. Raylan stands and pulls Boyd with him, drawing him over to some bulrushes by the edge of the water. He takes out his pocket knife and cuts down a handful of the spindly leaves. Then, still holding Boyd's hand, he stomps over to the embankment, closer to the sparsely wooded area just down from the Obelisk and bends to cut some wild rye growing there. Once more, he pulls Boyd back over to their little half-built camp and cut some threads off the red checkered blanket they usually fuck upon. He drops down indian-style on the blanket and spreads his bouquet in front of him. Boyd kneels down opposite. "Well?" Boyd asks softly. Raylan's eyes are all warmth and mystery. "Now, we weave them together. You want me to show you?" "Yes," Boyd replies fervently. Raylan takes all that news in as much stride as he feels able. He adjusts his hat to buy himself a moment to think and eventually replies, "Helen, I'm feeling a mite managed by you right now. Do you actually want me to look into this or are you just assuming I'm going to because of what you think you know about Boyd and me?" Helen laughs at him. It's a low, mean little chuckle. "I'm sure whatever I thought I knew 'bout you and that Crowder boy, Raylan, was proved wrong a long time ago. And I'm doubly sure whatever you think you know about it is similarly bullshit." "Helen," Raylan says slowly, ice climbing up his veins from his fingertips. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you were trying to piss me off. Set me off on this 'cause you made me mad." He finds Ava behind the bar at the Crowders' old place. Raylan and Boyd hadn't spent much time here drinking when they were young because the eyes of Bo Crowder had been entirely too heavy on their whole situation. But he's familiar enough with the place, he doesn't feel too uncomfortable rolling right in and planting himself in a seat at the bar. Ava Randolph's angelic face looks back at him in plain surprise. She's holding a rag in one hand and a pint glass in the other, paused in the middle of drying. She smiles. "Raylan Givens," she says, like a light just came on. "All the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world?" Raylan jokes. She sets the glass down and her smile grows teasing. "Something like that," she replies. "What can I do you for, stranger?" He orders a bourbon. Her choice, he says and she takes something down from the middle shelf, shows him the bottle and he nods politely. "A double," he says. "Neat." She nods and pours it. He takes it from her hand and takes a sip, letting the sweet fire linger on his tongue. "Ms. Helen's always careful to tell people your occupation, if'n case you ever show up in town. She was real nice to do so, Raylan. Who is it you're looking for?" He ends up in a bit of a fist fight with Coover, Dickie's particularly thick bulldog of a younger brother, while in the process of telling them both to leave Ava the hell out of whatever beef they have with him, and gets his lights punched out. Briefly. He wakes up strung up by his ankle on a willow tree on the bank of the Poor Fork, maybe a mile upstream from the Dairy Queen, where it and Martin's Fork meet at the headwaters of the Cumberland River. This was never Boyd's favorite spot to fish, but Raylan knows the shallows here are a decent place to land catfish, or used to be, 'cause Boyd told him so when they were nineteen. He'd tasted the catfish that Boyd caught here on his boy's tongue as the sun set on their little campsite. Raylan groans, full of regrets.

I think after letting them dry overnight, my only complaint is that it could’ve come out a little smoother. That might’ve been me painting it on too thick. The polish is definitely a different consistency than I’m used to. You can see a couple bubbles on my middle finger especially. Just FYI!
