I like my Dad’s favorites: The Lord of The Rings and Master and Commander. Some of his other favorites I’m not as wild about: Braveheart and Jeremiah Johnson.

I like my Dad’s favorites: The Lord of The Rings and Master and Commander. Some of his other favorites I’m not as wild about: Braveheart and Jeremiah Johnson.
I sort of put this idea in my fic but I just think that when Ilya Rozanov automatically assumes the loons sound like wolves, it shows not only that he’s SUCH a city kid but also that he doesn’t have like an innate sense of safety!! There could be danger ANYWHERE for this poor child!!!!! PROTECT HIM!

Rewatching HR episode 4 talking about the club girl’s hoop earrings and whether they are period appropriate or what. Conclusion: some girls just wear hoop earrings even if they’re not on trend, especially club girls. And we love her anyway.

So Gaiman’s popped up again so I decided to reshare my musings about Douglas Adams and American Gods. This is still absolutely the most petty thing to complain about in relation to Gaiman. But I will never forget that in so many little ways, he’s just a fucking asshole and a user.
I’ve spent my evening reading people’s reactions to the Gaiman news, especially the posts about the similarities between his Sandman work and novels by Tanith Lee. It’s reminding me again of something I’ve always wondered about American Gods and Gaiman’s relationship to the late Douglas Adams.

The part of this particular fic I’m reading is set in nyc when they order, but yeah. I only remember hearing about Uber Eats across the country in 2020.

I am still reading this fic tho! It’s fine!! This is well above the bar I have for quitting a fic. I just think it’s funny how wrong someone who is writing an otherwise completely enjoyable fic can be!
