To be fair, I think most if not all capitalists also take sadistic pleasure in technology that immiserates and tortures people. Capitalists don’t want profits primarily for safety or pleasure but for power over others. They are narcissists and psychopaths.

The more of these fascist atrocities I see, the more I become an immigration maximalist. Let everyone in, give everyone work permits/green cards. Make it possible to get citizenship within a few months. Make it as easy as getting a driver's license.
