Emperor Belmont is a character from my webcomic Jade Kingdoms and a problen that apparently cannot be killed. The kingdom tried, they speared him, cooked him, threw him in lava even the acid sea. This is the same look he gave all of them before he did things I can't list on here cause you know kids be looking at my shit too.

screenshot of a tumblr post from user “wildmansters” The thing that really boils my potatoes about Al in general is that I have been a creative professional for over a decade now and the devil has ALWAYS been in the details. Big and small, I've had single-person businesses rip me to shreds over how their colors turned out on newsprint, and have worked with huge companies with THICK brand guidelines with every detail of their brand identity laid out and enforced with an iron fist. But I guess all of that stuff doesn't matter anymore? Who gives a fuck if this Al generated baby has six fingers, that mom-and-pop shop is still going to use it. That rug from Temu says Happy Thanksgivirg? Oh well haha it's just a silly funny thing now (nevermind that you never would have given a B-grade item from a craft show the same consideration). I don't actually care that the Al Coca-cola ad has a truck that changes size every scene, but I can't help but think about how, if it had been some poor underpaid artist, they would have been laughed out of the building. I don't really know how to put it in a succint way but it just feels all the more obvious how much more grace and flexibility has always been possible but never offered.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

The villain of my comic Jade Kingdoms, Emperor Belmont single-handedly murdered his people before confronted by his grieving daughter. Taking to the skies, father and daughter clashed until Suren came out victorious, beheading her father (and herself) and throwing his corpse to the earth below. Yet...Belmont was ready for death and had used his sorcery to splinter his soul and regenerate in secret over time.

Another character from my comic Jade Kingdoms! Isolde had a vision once, of hearing prince Bahatar's final breath. She's been haunted by this ever since, which came as a second blow after losing the God she worshipped. It caused her to flee her former kingdom, in search of hope and a means to rescue the prince. As she journies the lifeless planet, she finds scraps of her god in the most impossible of places- the Jade Kingdom.

Wielding their mortality as a weapon, Bahatar would gift the scraps of his fellow humans the same blood magic that he inherited through Indra's divine blood- extending Humanity's lifespans and awakening blood magic in them all. Shedding their name, they are now known to the world as the Lifegivers.

The direct descendant of the demigod Indra, Bahatar inherited his divine abilities which is recognizable by golden blood. It gives him total master over Blood Magic, along with longevity, and many centuries ago he took down one of the rogue gods from his people's very own pantheon.
