I am on a low salt message group. One person posts recipes and says “just leave out the salt”. It is rarely that simple. And of course this person has not made said recipe so cannot speak to flavor alterations from leaving out salt.

I saw a pair of bald eagles on the side of Hwy 61 in St. Paul Park this AM. I've seen them flying around in the area, never seen them just standing on the grass.

My son referred to Justin Jefferson as a “cheat code”. Some of the catches he makes are amazing.

Fox halftime commentator referred to the "Minneapolis Vikings". Sigh. At least they didn't claim Dublin, Ireland was in the UK this week.

Tough night for my Gophers. Playing #1 rated Ohio State at their home was always going to be an uphill battle.

friends with large accounts, I'm not going to pester you personally but just generally speaking, I would sure appreciate a signal boost on this thing. We seem to have leveled out, and since this is a one-shot (won't be in bookstores) I'd like to get it out there as much as possible.

It happens. Decades ago, I was briefed on a potential name for a product line. I googled the name because it sounded familiar. #1 hit - defunct brand of cigarettes, which is what I remembered. #2 hit- line of pig semen. I suggested we consider a different name.

I am reading a mystery novel set in the Duluth area and now I want to visit the North Shore. My late wife and I used to visit Two Harbors as a getaway, take the kids to see fall colors and Gooseberry Falls. Betty's Pies.

Here is an interesting adjective quirk that you probably aren’t even aware you are doing.

In English, adjectives seem to follow a specific order:

opinion - size - age - shape - color - origin - material - purpose - noun

Painful 24 hours for Minnesota football. The Gophers didn't get the job done vs. Cal and the Vikings didn't look good against Atlanta.
